Hydro-Québec launches RfI to inform potential development of offshore wind

Marine Renewables Canada also welcomed Hydro-Québec’s RFI. It said this signal from one of North America’s largest utilities “is an important step toward unlocking the next phase of clean energy collaboration between provinces and strengthening Canada’s long-term energy security.”
Marine Renewables Canada said executive director Elisa Oberman said Hydro-Québec’s interest in Nova Scotia offshore wind demonstrates that Canada’s marine renewable energy resources are increasingly recognized as strategic assets.
